Every part of my body cried out with need for him. I felt like I’d lived the last three days in a state of deprivation, and now Ethan’s kiss was the only thing that could quench my thirst. I couldn’t lie to myself. I’d spent the last several days delirious with the thought of him. I’d lost count of the times I scolded myself for daydreaming at work or tossing and turning at night when I tried to fall asleep. Ethan was trouble—he was wrong for me, and he was off limits, no matter how long I’d wanted him.
But, it appeared the heart (or maybe just my hormones) always got what it wanted in the end.
Part of me hadn’t planned on things going down this way. Part of me had convinced myself I would be wearing panties, and we were just going to talk, maybe share a glass of wine and catch up on all the news and gossip we had missed while the other was away. But another part of me knew that the night was only going to end one way: with me in Ethan’s bed, and that part of me wanted nothing more than that satisfaction of finally surrendering to him.
It had been years, and I still wanted him more than anything else.
Ethan kissed me like a man starved, the leather creaking beneath us as we urged our bodies closer together. His hands were cupping my face, and he forced himself between my legs. I pushed into him, tucking my knees around him and pressing my breasts into his chest. I couldn’t get enough of his kisses.
Ethan nipped at my lower lip with a mischievous bite of his teeth, and I wound his silk tie around my hand and pulled him down on top of me.
“I should tease you over the phone more often,” Ethan growled. He was a little short of breath, and that fact thrilled me. I loved seeing him less than perfect, especially when I was the one causing him so much consternation.
“It wasn’t very nice of you.”
“Well, I’m not a very nice person.”
“Liar,” I said, but the word was swallowed up when he captured my mouth with his own once again. God, this man could kiss.
I was already grinding against the bulge in his pants, eager for my own release. Ethan pushed my sweater up around my waist, one of his hands snaking beneath the fabric to run along my trembling stomach. Brushing against my breasts through the lace of my bra, Ethan mapped my every curve with his fingertips. He gave one of my nipples a pinch, and I bucked against him.
He chuckled, obviously enjoying seeing me on the edge, and the sound peaked my arousal even more. My breasts were aching with want, and my sex was on fire.
“Please,” I whined.
“Please what?” he rumbled in my ear.
“Please, I want you inside me,” I panted, already fumbling with the buttons on the front of his starched blue shirt. I was vaguely humiliated
